Exciting update…

It is with great excitement that I can announce the potential for my book to be translated into Russian. The publishers and an interested party within Russia are working to develop the translation, I find this wonderful that even more people could benefit from the methodology I describe in my book.

It would certainly be great if more translations occur in the future and the commissioning word spread even wider.

Many grateful thanks to all concerned.

Commissioning History?

I had a very good and interesting question asked of me recently, that of, “what is the history of commissioning?”

I have I am afraid little to contribute here,  since I was introduced to our Nobel discipline back in the 80’s, I have been working with a methodology that stands by me still to this day and having worked around the world in various organizations its a concurrent theme, but where it came from is an interesting topic.

Anybody out there help explain?

Being aligned…

Very sorry kind reader again, work and travel have pressed hard on my time and a lack of Blogging is the result, apologies…

I guess its testament to the commitment one has to sometimes give to our commissioning discipline; it can keep you busy outside of the normal field activities!

My guidance today still will have the resounding message to keep alignment as part of your work scope. Alignment not only with the other project and construction groups but with the commissioning team also. Terminology and methodology of course are key topics to ensure every one understands, but also make sure the team are all aligned with the paperwork system, tracking system and manpower build up.

Being aligned will make everyone’s life a little easier when the pressure really comes on.

Safe and successful commissioning always…
