It was with significant pride and great delight that on the 20th May 2013 I was awarded the Brennan medal at the IChemE AGM and awards evening at Portland Place, London.
The Basil Brennan medal is awarded to the author or authors of the best book published by IChemE each year, my book the Chemical and Process Plant Commissioning Handbook was unanimously named the winner for 2012 after the Publications Medals Board selected my work and recommended the nomination to the Awards Committee.
Being presented with this prestigious medal has been a wonderful but equally humbling experience and I hope a true recognition of the contribution my book provides to the engineering and processing industries. I am highly honored and privileged to join an illustrious list of former winners dating back to 1988, I strongly desire that going forward my book be of good use to many people over many years and projects to come.
